1st Day

We’ve arrived in God’s area code!  (I remember as a kid they used to sell t-shirts in Cedarville that said, “God’s area code is 906″.)    The weather here is perfect.  Bright sun and warm during the day, cool and crisp at night.  In the 15 years or so since my last visit, almost nothing in Cedarville has changed, which is kind of amazing.    As we were driving in today, I was telling my kids about this wonderful bakery they used to have in Hessel, which is the next town over from Cedarville, and saying that I’m sure it wouldn’t be there anymore.   But it is!   Can I tell you how excited I am about that?   They’ll be closed tomorrow for the holiday, (this is a place where EVERYTHING except restaurants closes for holidays.   Need shampoo?  Sorry, you’ll have to borrow some or make due till Tuesday), but Tuesday morning we are so there.

Here are the photos from the day.   Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some clean air to breathe and the sound of lapping waves to enjoy.

With her family, Amy loves to travel, read, watch movies, write, sew, knit - the list is endless.
