Beauty in the world

Lest we forget, some reminders of the abundant beauty in our world:

In the “kindness of strangers” category, we have this entry from today’s NY Times Metropolitan Diary about a bouquet of roses.

This one might be titled, “The Year in Acts of Kindness”, but I also like the one Buzzfeed chose: “26 Moments That Restored Our Faith in Humanity This Year”.

From National Geographic some photos that are literally breathtaking from their “Life in Color” series. ┬áCheck them all out on their website.

Stories about “Road Angels”, from Family on Bikes.

I’ve posted it before, but watch it again if you need to smile, from Where the Hell is Matt 2012:

And finally, take it away, Macy Gray!

About Amy

Amy Milstein was born and raised on a farm in Indiana, but after 20+ years considers herself a full-fledged New Yorker. She is married with two kids, who do not go to school but are instead life learners. This means they learn by living in the world (real life ) instead of hearing about it and simulating it in a classroom. With her family, Amy loves to travel, read, watch movies, write, sew, knit - the list is endless.
